As a former sampler and counted cross-stitch fanatic (before a passion for knitting re-ignited and then grew like wildfire), a well-stocked shop is a treasure. Half of the business at Thistle Needleworks is mail order, so fret not if a visit in person is not possible. Notions, accessories, hoops, stands, and tools, plus rich resources for needleworkers are featured on their web site. They also do custom framing of all forms of needlework – and understand the precious nature of the work being entrusted to their hands.
