Vogue Knitting is all about the intersection of where fashion meets knitting. VK Live in New York City adds authors, yarn creators, company reps and passionate knitters, gobs of yarn to try out and a lively vendor booth arena. We met trade reps, folks we’ve interviewed by telephone or via the Web from around the world, and authors along with passionate knitters and yarnies at the 2011 VK Live event in New York. The second-ever Vogue Knitting Live happens Jan. 14 through Jan. 16, 2012 in New York City. More than 40 teachers and 200 classes – plus runway fashion shows – all at the Hilton New York. Our best wishes to Vivian Osborne, owner of Arctic Qiviut of Alaska and Pam Hoffman, owner of Indian Lake Artisans of Michigan, two entrepreneurs sharing booth space at VK Live 2012. (They met each other and clicked at a TNNA trade show, by the way.)

The electric vibe that is New York City – plus all the fashion and knitting two eyes and a mind can absorb – intertwine this weekend. Remember, sometimes the fashion of life is best seen while walking around the city.
Network with retailers, designers, publishers, wholesalers and manufacturers – maybe find a new colleague – or learn about new products and new techniques at other events coming up that include the TNNA Winter Trade Show at Phoenix Convention Center Jan. 21 through Jan. 23. Yarn Market News Smart Business Conference, March 11 through March 13 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston.
